You can easily disable start/stop. Install jumper wire over the posts of the disable switch so it's permanently "pressed". Or buy a kit that does the same thing.

I'd go for the Tremor personally, new over used. Keep it stock and enjoy a more subtle ride than the big 5.0 you have lifted. Only thing i noticed about the tacoma is its loaded but missing the LED headlights, that wasn't an option in 20. Maybe the PO swapped them?

Also work seeing what your trade in values run, could be night and day making one more favorable than the next.

 

The Tacoma does have front led. I sold my fx4 private so the trade in is negligible.

 

Those are halogen headlight, led running lights.

 

It should have the tech package LED light. Different headlights with larger LED, from 2020 on premium package. Same as the pic attached minus the useless TRD formatted in the bottom.

 

I would do the F150. But that because I'm ordering one. F150 Powerboost, lariat w/6.5 bed. Tacoma is to small or what I need.

Yes there’s a button, but resets every time you start. It’s a company vehicle, so I’m not going to modify their property. The start/stop works good, except for the steering. Mines a 2017, so maybe it’s been addressed or mines needs fixed,,, just something to look for on an extended test drive.

 

Most the new f150's, the start/ stop is deleted. Due to chip shortage

 

I also have owned a Tremor and now a TRD OR Premium. If you like going fast and need to haul anything substantial get the F-150. Tremors will hold value better than a normal F-150. I have a Tacoma because I don’t need a huge truck, and having a manual was that important.

Tacoma gets 1 mpg less than the Tremor I had, sucks it’s just the base model Tremor but that’s a decent price for a new truck. I will disagree with the other Tremor Taco owner, Sync worked perfectly fine for me, I’ve had 3 prior Fords with Sync and never had issues. But I’m just 4 examples, your results may vary.

 

My 2014 FX4 sync worked great, as does my 2020 F250 work truck.

Are you sure it’s a Tremor? Sounds like an XLT with a dealership appearance package? I don’t see how you could find a dealer willing to sell a base Tremor for $44k. That’s like $12,000-16,000 off MSRP which doesn’t exist on a base truck.

 

Yes its the base model Tremor, shown in the link below. 63,145CAD base, minus employee discount plan and dealer incentive is 58,700CAD. Its a great price from what I see shopping around for the last 3months.
