The fronts had less wear than the rears, but I think its because the last time I did a rotation a few months ago the front had already chewed up the fronts (that are now in the back).

yeah I might just need to do the alignment somewhere else. The issue is, the more caster they push positive, the harder it is to get the camber to be at 0. So many of these techs don't know how to do it. And that positive camber I believe is part of the culprit.

I would lower the setting on the 6112 and find a set of low mileage stock UCA's. (I just gave away my stock UCA only had 70 miles) Any alignment shop can set your alignment correctly.

My opinion is; it is the high Caster JBA's that is the root of all your issues.
    Like the link bellow says.
Most UCA's are doing it Wrong!

I just started having these problems in the last year, and everything was fine for the first couple. I have about 60k on it all so I think that has something to do with it too... and bad alignments.

You would probably still want to go back to stock 1st, to maximize your return. Why not take advantage of the current market and trade in for a fullsize truck? One of those should be comfortable for the long haul, chances are as the years go by your waist size will go up and not down.

I suspected this myself. I guess that's something I could try. And then get some smaller rubber on my wheels so I'm not worrying about clearance... even though I do have a CMC as well.

To get your Camber to 0. Your Caster will be up around 4-5 degrees with the JBA's and most shops won't take the liability of doing that. Causes too much strain on the steering system.

exactly, mine is (or was at) 3.8 I believe. And the guy had a tough time doing that. I'm liking your idea of maybe just putting the stock UCAs back on and lowering the shocks... and then going to smaller tires.

Its a wonderful time to sell. Horrible time to buy. So if you're doing both, its a horrible time.

Anyone know if I lowered the billies upfront 2 notches if it would still work and look right with the height of the dakars?

thats what I figured. Otherwise I'd just offload this thing and get into something else. But I do love it, minus these issues.

I would have to agree with that. The thing is you are going to be spending money anyway, not as much as going back to stock truck, as you would to buy a replacement. I wouldn't recommend buying a new TRD Pro in this market, saw a new ELG Pro on the road this morning. There are no deals on any vehicle in this market, but you also would get the most on your trade.

I think lowering the preload, figuring out alignment (maybe means new UCA's, which sucks when you spent the coin for the JBA's, or finding a shop that can work with them), and going back to an SL tire/less aggressive tread, keeping your bilsteins and dakars should net you a much more comfy ride than stock.

When in doubt go all in on a Tundra Capstone.

thanks. I might do that. My only other question is if I lower the billies a notch or 2, will it still be ok with the height of my dakars? I had to put a shim in them to get rid of vibrations, so I also worry about how all of that will work. I'm telling you guys... at this point I wish I never did all this to my truck :/

Try that first you should be able to sell the JBA's to recover some cost.
This is the reason I recommend SPC UCA set at "F" or "G" setting.
I can do my alignment in my driveway myself.
My LCA cams are set all the way forward, and all I need to do is set the vertical(Camber) using the sliding ball joint on the SPC's and the camber is good!
Had it checked at the alignment shop and they said it was good to go! Caster 2.5 degrees and Camber 0. since the Caster is set all I need to be concerned about is the Camber. Just make sure my tires are ll---ll vertical.

No CMC needed to fit 33" tires on a 2" lift.

I guess introducing new angles into the equation could potentially open the door to new issues, but I'm not extremely fluent in these things. My thoughts are once you fixed the geometry in the rear, you'd be set, but I'm not sure honestly. Sorry you're unhappy with the build. There are most definitely plenty of people around here who would happily take all of it off of your hands on a stock parts trade; I just hate to see you lose on the deal if theres a potential to be happy with it.
