I went offroading today in my 2010 tacoma and it was the first time I tried the DAC. When I turned it on it started making this grinding noise. Is this normal? If it has happened to anyone what did you do to fix it?

Yes, it's normal. I didn't like it the few times I used it, but I may have chosen rougher terrain than it is meant for.

That is normal, that is how it works to slow the car down.

ABS system involvement...is normal...I still prefer to control hill descent via 4Lo and low gear, locked rear when needed. DAC is nice to have as an option though.
