Never knew this light existed, but today, while on a steep hill going down and waiting at a red light, a light came on that shows the vehicle going downhill. I figured it had something to do with the steep hill I was on, no harm, no foul, but it never came off. Truck is running just fine. 2012 Tacoma, well-maintained, 40,000 miles. Any suggestions?

P.S. Just found this website, and it is awesome. I am on my 3rd Tacoma, and I am NEVER buying another vehicle. I put 260,000 miles on my last one, a 2007, and still got 13,000 on my trade in.

There is a button that has the same symbol on. You must have accidentally hit the button.

It only comes on when the button is hit.

If you ever find yourself on a really steep hill. Hit that button and take your foot off the brake and it will do all the work for you. It lowers you down the hill nice and smooth. It is pretty cool. Needs to be pretty steep.

No problem or damage... it only works when the truck is in 4WD Low.

I think it only works in 4L and under 5 mph... Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
