I bought my truck with 31 x 10.5 tires. I always accepted the performance (or lack of) as standard for my 2.7. After determining I have 3.58 gears I recently changed tires to 235 75 r15. Huge difference in performance! Easier starts, easier gear changes, and I can actually reach interstate speeds. Doesn't look as good but oh well. Here's ol' rusty with the new tires.

Got to what you got to do. I ran 38s on my 2.7 for a few years, so I know all about "the lack of"!

Regearing could also have been an option but probably a little bit more expensive

Yeah it was time for new tires anyway so I had to decide if I wanted to buy gears and tires or just tires. Came down to the $$$, couldn't afford to regear and replace tires.
