Downsizing: 2nd Gen to Ford Maverick?

Much wisdom, same reason my friend won't put a Yankees decal on his car in MA despite being a NY native. Worried some jerk will punch the window, key the car, etc etc. I limit mine to Toyota, Star Wars, and music.
