I test drove a 2011 crew and loved it. Drove very nice compared to my full size as far as steering and handling go. Very sweet truck but I didnt pull trigger because I am nervous about the back seat not being large enough. Think I may hold off until my wife gets a new SUV to see what she wants and gets. if its bigger one like explorer or acadia I will get a smaller truck, if she gets an escape or terrain, I think I had better stick to full size.

I went from a Dodge 2500 Hemi double cab to my doublecab Taco. I did notice the size for sure but I always had a thing for Tacomas. Actually I liked the handling increase, and overall feel of the Tacoma. What I hated was how low it sat stock but that got fixed a few weeks after I bought it ;). I love my Taco and glad I got rid of the ddoge, I am a smaller guy at 5'7" and I use the rear split/fold down very often. MY daughters car seat is behind me on the 40% and my LE tactical bag on the 60% side with the seat bottom folded up. When my dogs ride I remove the bag and drop the seat to normal with a cover. I took my truck home for a few hours from the dealer and left the dodge there and tried fitting everything in it with various configurations before I bought it at home, maybe you could do the same. Good luck OP.

I just switched from an 01 crew cab F150 to a '14 double cab tacoma. Love the Tacoma. Its a trade off. I love the big back seat in the Ford, and the front is definitely roomier. I wouldn't call it cramped or say its a problem at all though, definitely better than the Wrangler unlimited I test drove. The seats are really comfortable too.
