I drained 2.9Quarts out of the transmission and only 2 would go in. I follwed the AT Temp Check mode as listed on the sticky, the overflow plug drips after 2 quarts. I ran the truck about 2-3 miles, shifted through all the gears and it wont accept any more WS oil.

    Any ideas, please help.

According to another sticky, the tacoma will use 1.37 quarts if you do the drain and fill method which sounds spot on.

    1. I am wondering how everyone else got 2.9 -4.0 quarts in.
    2. How the hell can I drain out 3 and put in 2?

Im lost bros, help a brother out. I need my truck...

When I did my trans I drained out 3 and had to put 4 back in. Underserviced, so much for certified.

Then why does did the Sticky OP say he was able to put 3quarts in his tacoma?

The Toyota Manual PDF version (also from a sticky) says, 1.37quarts which sounds about right.

I cycled through the gears and everything, even ran it for a few miles. Somebody tell me im good to go.
