drained my tranny on accident

    The dip stick is terrible on these trucks... luckily Tacoma's appear to be indestructible.

    Never a problem here either. I always check it in the morning before the first start, since all of the oil has settled you don't even need to wipe it.

    I never check the oil dipstick. After 161,000 miles and about 30 oil changes done by yours truly, I know that a 5 Qt jug and another half a quart has it right where it needs to be.

    On a side note, I too have a Fumoto valve but not sure how that's relevant...

    It’s relevent cause it prevents you from accidentally draining the transmission fluid since it’s already on the oil plug
