    hi, I’m stupid.

Had a lot to drink last night and decided to change my oil. I pulled the wrong plug. What do I do? Can I refill this stuff myself or do I need to get it towed to the dealership?

    Thanks.

I’m laughing and feel bad for you at the same time Mike.

Based off your first sentence, I would have it towed. If you didn’t live 18 hours away, I would personally tow it for you.

At least you noticed before you added 5 quarts to the motor oil and then drove around for a few days.

Wow! Glad to see I’m not the only one.
I think I’m just going to have it towed to the dealership since doing myself will only make things worse. I’m not very mechanically skilled, I didn’t realize changing transmission fluid is a little more complicated than oil.

Mark your drain plugs with your wife’s nail polish or a paint pen. It’ll prevent this from happening again either from yourself or the kid at the jiffy lube.

Geez ,another one,I think Toyota needs too label each plug with 4 inch high BLOCK letters so people will stop draining the wrong plug.

We need to start a thread for drunken mishaps. I drove through my garage door because I didn't pump the brakes after replacing my pads. To this day, I have no idea what I was thinking, or why I didn't open the door before putting my truck in gear. Yes, alcohol was involved.

I’ve done shit way more stupid than this. Machined the deck of a block at an angle and the valves mashed the pistons. Live and learn.

I rode my mountain bike drunk. Once. The cast reminded me not to do that again for 10 weeks.

This just sounds like you created a good opportunity to learn how to change your transmission fluid.

It would have been stupid if you did what others said and added more oil to the engine and drove around for a few days
