They are going to flush and fill. You take off the cooler line and drain it all out. Then refill and check at temperature. That normally is expensive

OP: youre not the only one, my buddy did the same, but worse, drained trans, overfilled engine oil, and drove like 30 miles to work. Ive made some poor decisions after drinking, so i get it. Good luck and i bet youre the wiser for next time

Oh I do. My oldest helped me build my crawler, and at 9 years old, drives it as well. 6863A65E-31C8-4761-A3DE-CE9192550606.jpgB8958991-FF2E-41D5-A61B-6841677CA4A9.jpg E795CAE2-2B30-4303-B23D-B74B163FF784.jpg

Well at least it's just a Tacoma. My buddy did that to his F355, cost him $700 & a tow to get it done properly. Luckily no damage was done. I still make fun of him to this day for that.

It is a closed system in the fact it is pressurized and not "open" to atmosphere. Opposite of open is closed lol.
Everyone thinks there is no dipstick because of some nefarious reasoning, but the reality is a pressurized system or "closed loop" will force fluid into passages and allows for a much cleaner internal design.

Yeah, and then expect Toyota to cover it under warranty.

How would anyone blame toyota for draining the trans fluid by accident?

A lot of people never make mistakes and it's never their fault.
Some guys here would be blaming and wanting to sue Toyota for not labeling the drain plugs or some such horseshit.
Personal responsibility is a concept lost on some of the newer generations of humans.

Ok, the point I was trying to make is that he should be able to add back what he drained and call it a day.
