I just got my RCI skidplate, it's really nice quality. I love it, gonna install it tomorrow! Now I can't wait for my sliders to finish.

 

I'm liking the Glassworks fenders and the LT build with that long bed. Must be really good for hauling the bike around. Oh, and how do you like that rear bump stop kit? I was thinking about investing in them. Do you feel much of a difference with those?

 

Thanks, yeah its much nicer for the bike. As for the bumpstops in the back, yeah when they hit its not as rough or jarring as the stock ones.

How rough is the ride with those leaf springs? stiff as all hell?

 

no not at all. I ride around on the 1 setting on the fox shocks and they arent that rough until I start to bump it up for when I offroad. But other than that its actually a lot smoother than the stock springs IMO.

 

Finally got around to installing a switch to turn off my ABS. Love this novelty switch,

 

got my 50" lightbar installed finally, and just got the email that my Pelfreybilt custom hybrid bumper will be ready for pickup on friday.

Thanks! I just ordered a full system for the truck, a 12 with custom ported and tuned box, EQ, component speakers front and back with xovers, and an exile javelin amp. It should arrive this tuesday and I will probably get around to installing that stuff around the 21st of the month. I think I will also install a fuse block under the hood at the same time so I can straighten out some of my wiring and clean it up some.

 

Picked up my front bumper today, and man did it turn out fantastic!

I finished installing my stereo system. IDQ12V4 in a tuned/ported box behind rear seats, with ID 6.5 components front and back with tweeters and crossovers for the front, an exile javelin amp, and the ********* EZQ recurve LOC/equilizer. I got to keep the stock JBL entune headunit and have a wonderful sounding system now. It sounds so much clearer and nicer than the stock system. I am going to one of my local shops on wednesday to have them tune my equilizer and amp, as well as make sure everything is good to go. I got everything from *********, and I didn't have any issues ordering anything and they were very helpful throughout the entire install process. I will be posting pictures on wednesday and maybe even a video.

 

Ok so here are some installed pictures from when I did the SQ1 package from *********. These aren't all of them, but most. I will post the rest of them tomorrow. And I know the truck is super dirty, it needed to be washed and vacuumed badly. I figured I would do it after I installed everything while it was apart. Don't judge me
BTW, big shoutout to Rob over at *********.com for hooking it up. He was very easy to deal with and a big help. Kit consists of Image Dynamics XS65 components speakers up front complete with tweeters and crossovers, Image Dynamics CTX65 coaxial speakers for the rear, an Image Dynamics IDQ12V4 12" sub with a ported/tuned box behind the rear seats, and all powered by an Exile Javelin amp that gives 100 watts to each door speaker and 800 watts at 2 ohms to the sub.

I started by taking out all of the seats:

I took out all of the storage compartments out from behind the seats for the ported box:


Here is a closer picture, it doesnt show after I drilled the welds and removed the child restraint hooks and bent back a couple brackets:


Now it was time to take off the front doors:


And the rear doors:


Now I removed the speakers out of the doors:


Removed all the trimming and ran wires:










Next I Removed the radio with a putty knife with painters tape:










Attached the speakers to the adapters:


Here is one of the doors reatached after wiring in new speakers, all wires were run through the stock locations through the door boots:


I hid the crossovers for the front in the center next to the shifter:




The pictures I still need to post are going to be of the box and sub in the back installed along with where the amp and EQ are, then I will also get a video walkthrough of the entire truck and then have the system playing so you can hear how it sounds. Hope you enjoy the install pics, and don't worry the truck is now clean. Having everything out really made it easy to clean everything.

 

And here is the final install of the sub and amp (much cleaner carpet lol). I will get the video posted around tomorrow, I am super tired and have been running around all day.
