I think in your case, the massive wide tires and aftermarket rims + no re-gear are to blame. Any mods you've done to the engine are just icing on the cake.

I know the feeling. I was ready for some KM2s, but couldn't wait for my ATs to wear out, so I just took a little bit of a loss and sold them.

Used some, but not enough. Or maybe it's just that wrinkle finish that's the problem. If I end up taking it apart again, I'll probably sand the finish off in that spot.

That would be freaking sweet. Why doesn't everything come with a zerk on it from the factory.

I agree but probably because a huge percent of the people that drive Tacoma's don't even know what a zerk is and would think it's some sort of dealer scam to grease them and make money.

I just thought about where the old grease is going to go. All over the ABS Sensor.

I'm not a huge fan of ABS or anything, but it's nice to have in the rain.

You could just remove it long enough to grease the bearings, then wipe up the excess & put it back in.

True, but if you're taking the bearing out, you might as well just open it up and grease it that way.
I think I'm going to do the kill switch mod

I'd be hesitant unless it was strictly a trail rig. There may be that one time you need it on the road also if anything does happen insurance may find that as a way out.
