Has anybody drilled additional holes in the truck bed to allow for better water drainage?

    What about any other purpose?

Any other bed modifications that are noteworthy?

For water drainage, no. To mount misc items, yes .. tool box and a compressor tank

Don't you have a hole at each corner up front?

Some folks in the 2nd gen section have added a 2nd pair of D rings, because they needed to strap stuff down.

@mattgecko has underrail bed lighting that is second to none.

An OE bed mat is part of a current group buy at $80 shipped I believe.

Apparently I drilled a hole into part of the evap system when I drilled a hole in the center of the bed towards the back.... I drilled right into a black box that’s mounted up there. Can anyone tell me if I should try to plug it or replace it?

You'll likely get a check engine light with an EVAP leak code soon. Easy to replace... but I don't see any reason why you couldn't try sealing it with some sort of JB weld if the hole is small enough.

I got a code and changed gas caps, cleared it, but it kept coming back. Large evap code or what have you. Looked around and ran my fingers where my bolt come through the bed and sure enough a perfect hole on the top side of the canister. Found a grommet that fit right in there then packed on some roofing sealant on top. If that doesn’t work I’ll bite the bullet and fix it correctly. Might as well give it a shot though. I’m just not sure what’s inside these canisters. Is it under pressure or anything? Any reason my hack job won’t work?

Yes, they do pressurize, but they're not under high pressure, so if it's sealed, it should probably work fine.

I haven't drilled any holes but I may make the drainage holes at the front of the bed a tad larger.

I drilled a couple of holes for additional tie downs (I used the additional factory parts). No issues 3 years after installing.

It shouldn't see more than about 10psi.

Good deal. Probably won’t be an issue again. That was dumb of me. One of those late night underwear wearing projects. Got lazy and didn’t look before I drilled and subsequently got drilled...

Where’d you mount the antenna and route the cwble?
I’ve been lagging on installing my CB.

I also need to do something about the drainage holes, mine get plugged up and stop draining. I was thinking of putting cotton rope through the hole so it would always drain.
