Drilling through Line-X?

    I'm going to be drilling holes through my bed rails which are Line-X'd.

    Is this possible? Should I do anything differently? Prep the area to be drilled?

    I just don't want to ruin the Line-X around the area where the hole will be.

    I would call a local Line-X dealer, tell them what you're doing and ask them how to protect the surrounding area so it doesn't pull or peel.

    Put tape over the spot to be drilled, use a step bit, and seal the edges w/ something after you are done.
