Drilling through the firewall

    Just be careful where you drill on the driver side. Where the flat spot is next to the grommet addition in the DIY thread linked above, is a double layer of metal with a space in between that would be suboptimal to drill through in my opinion.

    You can pull the carpet on the interior away from the firewall and get a better look at where you should and shouldn’t drill.
