Sorry Jbrandt. You are right. I edited my post to correct.
I have the actuator type on my '03. It amazes me that there isn't an oem or aftermarket replacement if it goes bad.

I saved the below picture just in case I ever have an issue. The actuator system uses a 4 wire plug.

There are three main reasons, imo, for there to be aftermarket support for a particular item. First, which is probably the most common, is to make your rig look sweet (pretty colors!). The other two are to address shortcomings in reliability or performance.

I don't know that there's every been a person in the history of the universe that's ever said "boy I wish my TPS was anodized blue". I said earlier that (afaik) neither of these systems are especially unreliable, and it's not like a new TPS is going to get you 10 more hp.

So, IMO, there's isn't much of a need for aftermarket support.

I've seen a few threads where they have failed and people just go to the junk yard and grab a new(old) TB assembly and call it a day.

I'd still be more concerned about the paint color or wear marks on the driver seat, than what TPS it has.

I do have another 4x4 ('17 4Runner), a dirtbike, several mountain bikes, an r/c tube chassis crawler, etc... Think I have enough :)
