Today I noticed the drive lights on my 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro are shutting off when my low beams are turned on. They work properly when only the drive lights are selected. The second I switch to low beams they shut off. I know they are suppose to stay on and the last time I noticed that they were working properly was about 3 weeks ago. What would cause this issue?

I was under the impression that driving lights only work when the regular lights low beams are off ....at least what I noticed with my off road .now I’m going to have to double check them lol

Lol well I know that. Looking for possible knowledge of possible causes before I start troubleshooting.

They most certainly do and were on a couple weeks ago. I know that because my grill lights are wired into the DRL lights and they were always on when I had my low beams on. I unplugged them 3 weeks because 1 burned out and when I got my new ones and installed them, they now shut off along with the DRL lights when I turn on my low beams. I am 100% positive.

check the fuse. Did you initially tap into a fuse or just the wire harness for the DRL?

I'd go through all your aftermarket doodads n wiring,,, if not disconnect them.
My 19 OR dims DRLs when low beams are on,,, but they're definitely on.

Tapped right into the wire. Did not touch that. Just put new lights in. They were from a different company which is the only difference. And like I said they work fine when it is just set to DRL. Trying to figure out what changed. They definitely were on all the time before.
