Got a few different noises coming from the driveshaft/carrier bearing. Would appreciate help diagnosing. I have a hunch searching the forums this is the carrier bearing, however in one of the two videos the rear most driveshaft seems to be almost jumping and makes a completely different noise. 2007 AC 4x4 130k miles Just starting making noise about 3 days ago.

The first video looked like a lot of play. Have you been regularly greasing your zerks?

You might want to drop the drive shaft and check the u joints by hand for any issues.

Admittedly I have not been greasing them regularly. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of their existence, or I would have. I just went about greasing all I could find - I believe I found four points to grease. But at this point the damage may be done... That being said, it does appear to jump around in the video, but there is no “thunk” of a loose u-joint and the play in the carrier bearing doesn’t seem abnormal. I lifted the rear end up and spun the tires in neutral, but it appears the noises only happen in gear under torque (while giving it gas.) This also appears to be the case with normal driving. Greasing thus far has apparently not resolved the issue.

The second video does sound kind of like a u-joint.
Usually in my experience a failing u-joint will clank or bang.
Or it will sound like a chirp when driving. Yours sounds like a chirp. A long chirp at that

Have you tried greasing the u-joints to see if the sound changes?
Grease won’t fix the issue, but it might help identify it.

Takes 15 minutes to remove the DS. Then you can identify a bad u-joint.

Rear leaf suspension. Home done tailgate re-inforcement.
I did all the tests for U joints I could. In the end, I found a frozen U joint at the differential that didn't show itself by unwanted movement. I replaced all the U joints, transmission seal and the carrier bearing once the drive shaft was down

Thanks for the replies, think I’ll need to drop the ds and take a look
