Hi guys wondering if any of u have had a experience with the drive shaft, sounds like it bounces and rattles. Makes a banging noise. Only with load in the back and if i accerate fast. Could it be the carrier bearing?

Just had all three replaced last week. Maybe bad install? Or bad parts?

    Not enough...
I had an issue with mine. Started making ticking noise driving between 25-65 and then around 85-90 (long drives on an empty highway in a middle of nowhere) i would get crazy vibration from the rear end. Could not figure out wtf. Dealer took half of the truck apart trying to figure out, but could not. Take it to another shop, they replace the carrier bearing and u-joints. No help. Back to the dealer. Dealer claims that replacement parts non-oem, even though they were. I tell them to replace with OEM and try. They put on OEM ones and the same story continues.....

Finally, they figured it out. There is a balancing spring welded inside the drive shaft tube. It fell off and was bouncing around. They ended reluctantly giving me a whole new drive shaft, u-joins and carrier bearing.

Take the drive shaft to the shaft shop and have them check the balancing of it. But I guess you could try the carrier bearing first. Mine actually cracked the internal bearing ring 3 days after I put on the lift.
