I have a 2001 taco prerunner 4 door with a 2 piece driveshaft. I've put a 2.5" rough country lift on a few years ago.
I started having ujoint issues on the original drive shaft until finally the middle pivot yoke behind the carrier bearing wore out. I bought a Doorman drift shaft at Oreilys and it was popping and clanking soon as it got on the truck (same joint). They covered the warranty with another shaft but it went out (same joint) around 10k. So now I'm on my 4th shaft and thinking it's something more than the shaft.
Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue before and how it could be resolved.

in automotive school I was taught that 3 degrees is the maximum allowable offset on a non constant velocity shaft for a long vibration free life. A decent driveline shop should be able to measure this and shim either the thrid member or make suggestions to "fix" this. If you call Rough Country they might have a suggestion or 2 but in my experience the manufactureres and thier reps will want to cover thier reputation first and solve the problem second.
