Don't by previous owner. Lift and wheels. I've added an alpine stereo and speakers. Amp to come soon. Camper shell and mattress
Drive shaft mount ripped off the frame today. See low quality POS below standard workmanship in the encyclopedia.

The only indication of a problem sounded like low pressure and more aggressive tires.

Anyone know if aftermarket mount kits or methods of repair?

Go look at those brackets they are tinfoil.

I've never owned a bigger pile of trash than this Toyota but I owe too much to go back now..

Bearing probably seized and tremendous force hit that bracket.

    He's got a point ^^^

OP, we need to see pictures to assess the damage and determine what the cause of the failure was and what sort of solution we can come up for for you.

Are you talking about the carrier bearing?

I’ll assume you mean the carrier bearing mount? As the others said pics would be helpful.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it’s all one assembly.
    Mount, bushing, and bearing?

Thankfully I haven’t had to drop mine yet.
    Hope not too, anytime soon.

No option to put in pics it won't access the phones drive. I uploaded a YouTube video. Next best thing I could do.
If you can't tell I'm pissed and strapped for cash.

At first angry look I thought I was going to have to hand fab my own parts and hope I could find a welder that could get them in in the right alignment. So the shaft isn't all out of alignment.

On serving look after regaining control of my mind. I noticed the cross member is booked on. So my hope is i can get a replacement mount cross member. ... It whatever the correct term for that cross member is.

Looks more like you lost a bolt... Which them allowed the shaft torque to spin it of control. Sucks tho op. Hopeully an easy fix for you

Judging by the video, as you stated, you lost the bolt on the passenger side.

This caused a tremendous torque on the mount. That bearing had to have been making noise for a while.

As for a fix, you could sandwich that mount with some 1/8” plate with holes drilled for the bolt

Yeah looks like the bolt came out and the force ripped it apart. I don’t blame the metal one bit, had the bolt not fallen out that wouldn’t have happened

So the obvious now. The vibration from the drive shaft shook out one mount bolt. Which led to the rest of this mess.

The only indication of an issue was the making a deep him that sounded like i put much more of road aggressive tires or lost pressure to a tire.

Once home I of course see that it isn't like tire pressure making my tread knobs make more noise.

    Aftermarket bearing too?

I had an aftermarket bearing fail after 11k miles.

a bad bearing could have caused the vibration which cause the bolt to work loose.

I fail to understand why all of my previous trucks with longer single shafts never had all the issues described in These forums with the Toyota drive shaft and vibrations.

Bought the truck used. From a stealership. Warranty ran out 3 months ago.

The rear end had been a nightmare too. But I've found work around to Toyota's redesigned to fail axle seals.

Simple as can be get the oreilly after market ones. They still have the seal lip in the right place. The newer Toyota ones allow oil to seap out when you go around corners.

You have a 12 year old truck, they have problems, fix it, stop complaining.
