Just relax...... Wait until after you've installed everything and take a look at your situation. When you lift trucks that high, there's almost ALWAYS things that need fine tuned, adjusted, or upgraded.

And like I said...make sure the slip yoke has enough shaft inside it. If it doesn't and you flex the suspension, that driveshaft can pull apart. You might not have any problems - just something to look for (just in case).

You can get driveshafts custom made to the proper lengths you need, just visit Tom Woods driveshafts. http://www.4xshaft.com/

Also, check out his tech info page http://www.4xshaft.com/techinfo.asp

I had two Tom Woods shafts on my jeep and they are bulletproof. They'll help you measure and get exactly what you need.

I PMed Susie Q (6 inch procomp lift with 35's) and she said she has no problems. But does the welded on cross member do anything good, I know i'm not going to be getting it. Thanks for answering all my questions guys!

You know how 6 inch lifts have the welded on cross members so their clearance is less... That just provides support and not any real benefits right?

you cut the crossmember and bolt on the kit, unless thats different from 2nd gens but its most likely the same application

and thats only for 4x4 models since you dont need to drop the differential cause you have a prerunner you dont need to cut a crossmember it just bolts on in htere

thats if you go with a fabtech or procomp 6" lift, they run around $2500 and you cant use 5100s but they come with everything youll need

I'm defiantly going with the spindles. But I wanted to see if I would have any problems lifting it more with the 5100s. And it looks like I'll be fine.

id say stick to the 5100s for now since they are relatively cheap and will give you the best ride quality for the money and lift

how about steering connections?? if im not mistaken this have to be taken in account if you want to lift it up that high. on 6" lifts im 70% certain that the steering has to be enlongated. correct me if im wrong

Really? Would this cause death wobbles if I didn't change the steering configuration?

You might be thinking of body lifts.

When you install body lifts, the steering shafts often need lengthened.

So when you do a suspension lift you don't need to mess with the stering shafts?
