I have a 2012 DCSB 4X4 TRD, put 1.5 inch AAL and incoil spacer w/ 1/4 inch top spacer = 1.5 inch lift in front. Got vibes at 20mph, added 2 washers on each bolt between frame and carrier bearing and still get vibes. I will remove them this weekend and flip carrier bearing 180 degree to see if that works. I would not think such a small lift 1.5 to 2 inches you would need to drop the carrier bearing much. Also QQQ??? the drives shafts should not be V verted as in down angle correct? They should always be angled upwards slightly but close to parallel.
    Any suggestions?

try some 2* or 3* shims or try adding some more washers to the CB, the OME CB drop i believe is like 1/2in tall or something like that, so try to replicate Old Man Emus drop kit to see if that really does help

I installed my shims the other weekend, and a good majority of them went away, but now my U-joint just aft of my slip yoke has died so I need to replace all my ujoints. so replacing all your U-joints could also get rid of some of the vibs as well.

when my ujoint finally died a good amount of vibs went away, its still there but barely noticable and bearable to drive around 40 mph

This is a driveshaft spacer. What it does is pushes the drive shaft forward back to being flush with the tranny tail housing. Since lifting a vehicle pulls the driveshaft backwards and out a bit. And that's used to put it back being flush

Got it. I'm on stock suspension, so I assume it wouldn't apply.

Pretty much ya, I'm not sure how the 4wd driveshaft is setup but mines 2wd and if it looks like this yes you need one, if not...no

This is what my ds looks like going into the tail housing

How much are you guys ending up lowering the carrier bearing? I have Icon 1's up front and Deaver AAL and Icon shocks in back, all fenders are 38" from the ground. I put in 3 degree shims which solved all my high speed issues but I still have a good rumble at 15-20. That rumble is lessening as I continue to add washers and drop the carrier bearing, but I already have the OME carrier drop shims and 5 washers, must be an inch or more already. I'm starting to worry I don't have long enough bolts...

Just wanted to give my experience with vibrations...

Installed a full OME Lift with OME front and rear shocks, 884x coils and Dakar with top overload removed. Was getting 5-10 take of shudder and 15-40mph vibes and Front Diff pulse/growl. Not too much high speed vibes, may just have been my OCD.

Ordered the Toytec 3degree shims. I used the center pins with the shims. Did not have to add a collar to make the head longer. Fit in plenty. Just installed tonight. Seems to have fixed most of the 15mph and up vibes. Still can tell I have the front diff vibes, to which I will be installing the ECGS bearing this week. Still have a take of shudder.

Installed the shims with fat end towards the rear to angle the pinion up. Seems to be close to parallel with the 1st shaft.

I do have some play in my CB up and down, not much side to side. Will be experimenting with CB drops tomorrow.

So far I am happier than I was. Hopefully it will last. Feel like it will just be a 3-6 month patch until I can afford a new Double Cardan driveshaft.

Thank you to everyone in this thread for allowing me to learn from your mistakes and trials with shim direction and degrees.

My 3 working angles are 4.7, .5, 3.0 front to back respectively. Recommendations on how to adjust ? I feel like there should be a formula for this. 08 4x4 dcsb, ome 885 icon aal in back with ome rear shocks and original leaf springs, overload in. Thanks
