After almost a year of trying numerous driveshaft setups and angles I determined that it doesn't matter because axle wrap is the true problem. You can have all of the angles correct but once the axle wraps they are all wrong. I first added Helwig helpers to my leafs. It reduced the shake by about 50% but made the ride too rough so yesterday I made a ladder bar for my axle. Finally the vibrations are 100% gone. Mine vibrations were completely caused by axle wrap.

I've raised this issue a couple of times to no real discussion. As you can see in the youtube link your angles change dramatically through transitional loading.

It was your video that got me thinking about wrap instead. I was ready to go buy a new driveshaft and after seeing the video I decided to go a different route.

Same, now that I realize and saw both of your posts again, I need to build or buy a trac-bar for the rear axle soonish

And this setup is 100%-vibe-free? Good work.

I'm not really up for welding anything onto my 2015 @9000 miles, but if there was a bolt on solution out there they'd get my money.

Budbuilt makes one. I had to put a new muffler on to make room for it. I don't know if the budbuilt fits with the stock muffler.

I signed up for the poly carrier group buy. I'm hoping that will stop the rattle knocking sound in the rear.

Still need to cut down on the axle wrap though and angles are still very important

Deaver expos solved my axle wrap bumps. No more clunking after coming to a stop.

Yea most aftermarket or upgraded leafs will help, but general Tacos have an aal. I have an aal temporarily and have minor axle wrap

My vibrations are 100% gone after getting new wheels and tires. I started with a 3" Icon Stage 1 lift and AALs and had bad vibrations. The needle bearing fix took care of the 30-40 mph ocsillation. I then added 3 degree rear axle shims, a front diff drop and a street tacos cb drop bracket. I ended up adding about 1.25" of fender washers, one at a time until the vibe started getting worse again, to drop the cb bracket further. This got me to a very slight vibration right at 20mph. I drove with it for months with the stock wheels and tires and got used to it.

Then a few weeks ago I put on Procomp wheels and 285/75/16 TA/KO2's, and even that vibe is gone. I've driven extensively from start up to 30 mph feeling for it, and there is no vibe.

My hypothesis is that the larger tires (more likely) or the back spacing on the new wheels (less likely) shifted things just slightly, and it's all in harmony. I don't have a point here other than to add to the thread.

What way does the 3 degree shim go?
I'm guessing the thin part to the front or is it the other way around?
