The washers you added are on the wrong side of the CSB. They need to be between the CSB and the crossmember.

Well... I had vibration on hard acceleration from stop, if feels like the drive shaft bounces up and down. About a year ago Toyota had the truck for few weeks, changed engine mounts, 4 leaves pack, something in the steering wheel, angled the pinion whatever. Then the vibration went away.
1 month ago I started having vibration while decelerating from 35-15 mph heavier at 20mph.
Took it to the dealer, adjusted the pinion angle.
Guess what? The old good vibration came back :eek::annoyed:
I even told them to check the history of vibration before touching anything.

They will have to truck to work on it next week.

I'd be willing to bet lunch on them not even using an angle finder on it. They're just playing darts in the dark.

They called me today. The service manager I am dealing with is really nice and at least acknowledging the problem and not saying it s normal. Toyota is sending a tech middle of this month, they said he ll be working on it. So let's wait and see.

i have read through this and it seems that when i think i got it... i get confused again... bought the HF angle tool. Per the first post following directions and pictures Page 1 I got (front drive shaft at 1.30)( rear Drive at .70 )and (axle .90). Dont know what to do with those numbers.

Secondly, read about the pinion and tc flange... ok used a flat bar wrench etc followed directions got 0 because of calibration then 2.10 at the rear axle flange. put on rear drive shaft 0.00 calibration then moved to front drive shaft by the CB and got 2.10. I dont know what to do with those numbers. I replaced the u jont at the TC and the center one (already replaced the one at the rear axle all with in 2-10k miles of each other.) i have a vibration/ weird feeling in my seat from 50 thru 65 and somewhere in between. I do not low speed issues and driving 75+ no really issue just had the tires balanced but hell that doesn't mean anything.

I need a cliff and a way to drive the truck off it jumping out right before so i can watch it smash into the ground lol

    v6 4x4 DC auto factory trd off road with 265 75 16 A/T rf10 new frame at 95000 i have 126k now

thank you for any help and you guys are great !

I just added fox 2.5 coilovers and 2.0 rear shocks with Dakar leafspring. I get a vibration between maybe 18-25mph. I've measured the angles and the diff to TC is off .3 degrees in the positive direction. The driveshafts were off by about 1.5 degrees even with the OME CB spacer. To get it closer to zero seems like I would have to add a lot of drop. Do you guys think the CB is the source of the vibs?

Has anybody ever used a carrier bearing like this? I installed a DMZ Long travel kit last year and had the driveshaft modified with a slip joint as well as adding this carrier bearing. I also had the driveshaft modified with a slip joint as well as adding this carrier bearing mount. I did all the work myself except balancing the driveshaft, so I am in unfamiliar territory. I had a pretty minimal vibration and didn't think much of it. Then I regeared this year with a 5.29 ring and Pinion and now my vibration is increasingly horrible. Starts at about 50 mph like a high frequency harmonic vibration resonating through out the cab and then gets worse from there. The vibration occurs going down a hill in neutral or in Drive going up a hill. I have the truck up on jackstands right now and I can even replicate it that way as well. I am dying for some advice on what to do. Help please!

Edit: tranny and pinion are parallel. Carrier bearing is about 0.5 degrees above straight line.

Problem solved. Got rid of the solid aluminum carrier bearing mount and replaced it with a Dana/Spicer type carrier bearing that has rubber surrounding the bearing. Vibration has resolved. In short do not buy carrier bearings without some sort of rubber dampening.

    Dana/Spicer brand $26
It doesn't work however on pre runners without an added slip joint on the rear of the driveline. Also I had to fab a little bit for the mounting.

    Hello All,

In the process of trying to fix a driveline vibration in a bone stock 2015 Prerunner SR5. I notice the vibration at 50 MPH and then it continues from there.

Assuming the dealer won't be much help... Where should I start? I was thinking about doing the spacer on the carrier bearing. Would I need the leaf-spring shims too?

    Any other thoughts/suggestions?

    I appreciate it!

Look for worn parts first, u joints, center bearing, trans mount, leaf springs, u bolt torque. Then move on to drive shaft angles. Measure first off, don't just throw stuff at it that might work. Also, grease those u joints, if they are the greasable kind. There is a TSB from the dealer for this. They replace the trans mount with one the sets the trans slightly lower, then they may do a few other things to get it in spec as well.
