Okay universal joint busted as I was taking it to have one put in so after that I just said I'd do it myself (I'm not a mechanic by no definition) but after taking the drive shaft out by yolk is busted now I've called around and none of the chain auto stores have them but most people can't tell me the name of the yolk I was just calling it a drive shaft yolk but can someone tell me the correct name for this particular one

Manual just has it listed as "Universal Joint Yoke". A call to the stealership parts department should yield a part number.

Might be worth calling junkyards, they're often open Saturdays and that's something they'll probably have laying around for cheap.

Thanks for the reply. I live in eastern Ky and though there's several around there is very few open on Saturday so it'll be Monday and from everything I'm seeing I may have to buy the whole shaft

Driveshaft shop should have what you need.

Dealer probably will only sell you a complete drive shaft for a crazy price.

Junk yard or drive shaft shop.

Looking at the wear on that Yoke it has been worn out for quite some time. You didn't hear it?

So I guess that holder thing is called the yoke, and what goes into it is called "U-joint"? I hear they're made by spicer.
I'm not sure what's called what.

Speaking of junkyards, I wonder if the part is also used on other Toyota's, to make it seem more common and plentiful. In which case, if it comes on a shit ton of different vehicles, that might drive down the price of a used one even more.
For example, with the so-called 4runner brake upgrade (post-2010) of whatever those calipers are called, I've seen a bunch on co-part for as low as $30/ea. Not bad.
Hopefully it's nothing crazy with a propshaft either.
