Bottom line. My truck won't start

I pulled my truck out of the garage to pull some stuff out and when I went to pull it back in, it won't start.

The starter turns over but the truck won't catch. It just keeps winding without actually starting. I then get this message.

If I pull my foot off the break pedal I then get this message.

So. Other than the obvious, to visit my dealer, is there anything I might be able to do?

I did try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect to see if it would clear anything. No joy there.

    Anyone else run into this?

Big thread about this I've seen a few times. I'm on my phone or I'd find and link it.
Google search tacoma world brake over ride malfunction and you should find it.

Thanks. I was searching and couldn't find the Drive-Start Control error.

I should probably clarify. I get the Drive-Start Control malfunction first. The brake error only happens while it's turning over and I lift my foot off the brake.

The worse thing you can do is DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.

    I can’t understand this.
When you do it you can and do lose valuable information that a tech can use to help
    Diagnosis the situation.
Tow it and make sure you tell them YOU DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY.
    It’s a 2019.
    Leave it alone...

Ahhh! Thanks Mike. Next time I will know better than to do that. I'm not used to all of these computers in modern vehicles.

I'm in IT. One of the first things to try is to restart the computer. I really didn't realize that I would probably lose codes. (Head slap). Hopefully my two attempts to start my truck after disconnecting the battery will have enough codes for diagnostics.

    Not all codes go away.
Some have to be cleared with a scanner.
But it’s hit and miss. Sometimes yes sometimes no.

It looks like I'm going to need to have my truck towed to the dealer. We'll see what happens from there. My dealer is closed on Sunday so I probably won't know anything until Monday. It sucks.

I got my truck back this evening.

They said there were some blown fuses. They blamed my USR switchback/turns in my mirror for the blown fuses. I used add-a-fuse for that DRL option.

They did say it was not warranty but they still took care of it with no charge. I'm not fully convinced that this was the cause. I'm going to leave the DRL option disconnected and hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Sorry Keith but when you start putting add a fuses and putting aftermarket stuff on
Anything is possible. I go through this all the time..
I’d kinda like to know what was plugged where and what fuses blew..
Will help me down the road..

I'll try to find out what fuses were blown. I picked up my truck about 20 minutes before close and my service writer and the tech were both already gone. I'll get the schematics on which plugs I used as well. They would come on with the regular DRL.

If I were to hook those up again, would you tap off of the DRLs instead of add-a-fuse? I think I'm just going to leave it alone for now.
