Drive through car washes?

    No money, all went to truck...
    People serious about detailing their vehicles will tell you to NEVER EVER use drive through car washes. NEVER.

    I NEVER EVER take my truck through those things. Tunnel of marring is what they are.

    My fourth red Tacoma
    I do the membership thing and I go at least once a week. The exceptions being during rainy weather. I think it is nice to have a nice clean vehicle all the time. I also clean and vacuum the inside every time. These are stylish vanity/lifestyle vehicles if we are real honest with ourselves so might as well live it.

    I take mine through when I'm feeling too lazy to wash it by hand, and after the winter for the under carriage wash(road salt). It's touchless. Black is tough though, you can always find spots that still have the "grey" dirt after going through it. A friend of mine with a red F150 swears by it, and his truck always looks good.
    The local one doesn't have any sort of "membership", it's not a chain.

    That's right. I keep a sniper's nest in my living room just to stop all those internet stalkers that constantly raid me for my mortgage equity or quarterly 401k statement.
