    Hi all.

Firstly ... Love my new taco !!
2012 Access cab, 4X4, V6, AT, Nautical Blue - 2 weeks old, 280 km on the clock.

A question to all the taco owners in here, if I may.

I noticed a click or light clunk coming from under my truck when I move approx. 10 feet in drive (in 2HI) :
    - There is no vibration with this noise whatsoever
    - This noise is only heard after the transmission has been in park
(the noise doesn't happen when I stop, go, stop and select neutral, stop and reverse then move forward in drive - only after selecting park)
    - I suspect the noise is from the transmission because of the point above
    - The 4 wheel drive and electronic driveline systems work perfectly
    - The truck drives and operates like a dream

I haven't checked for the noise in 4HI because the truck will be in 2HI the vast majority of the time.
I will be talking to my dealer service dept. as well.

This is probably normal but I would like some feedback to alleviate my concerns.

    Thanks Guys.

    Cheers
    Ray.

Yep, mine does it too. Always wondered what it was. Have heard similar things from other folks too so I guess it's normal. :p

    Hi all.

Thanks for the responses - I figured it was normal.

I talked to my dealer today. They assured me this is a completely normal sound from my truck. I started talking to the service department when the business manager came by and told me it was completely normal.

So although I got no answer as to exactly what it is that makes the noise, I do feel better.

    Hi Split.

    Can you elaborate ?

Normal aside, my inquiring mind still wants to know what is the source of the noise.

    Thanks.

    Cheers
    Ray.
