Ok i know this has most likely been covered somewhere. I have used the search and been through a few different posts and not exactly found what my truck is doing...

I have a vibration in my driveline that happens when going up hill at low RPM and sometimes just under slight load while driving on flat road. It shakes the entire truck. If i let off the gas it immediately goes away and i can press the gas and its fine. I have no lift, and everything is stock. I have checked the driveshaft for any looseness in the Ujoints by trying to rotate the driveshaft, and no movement there. I have greased all joints. This was happening before my new 3rd member, and i was hoping it was from that. New member installed and still have this. Transmission shifts great and no lag or hard shifts. I have tried to rotate that Center bearing and see if any difference and nothing has worked. I have replaced the rear brakes, again it was doing it before this, and still no dice.. Im at a loss at this point. Please help me Tacomaworld.. youre my only hope...

U joints are good. Center bushing doesnt seem to have any play in it. Pinion bearing was replaced with new third member, Slip yolk was good when i replaced the driveshaft seal on the tranny

How many weights are supposed to be on the drive shaft, and where are they located.

What are Signs and symptoms of a Transmission bearing? (Also is this the throwout bearing you are talking about?, do auto's have a throwout bearing) Tranny shifts fine and smooth, no clunks or thuds in it.

does the speed matter? certain RPM(tach)?
What about tires--have you checked them?

this is a different set of tires than when this started. I have also had them rebalanced and rotated to see if anything changed. Speed is usually under 50MPH and usually around 1800-3000RPM

sounds like the classic 15-25mph acceleration vibe. do a search for the HUGE thread on that.

I agree that you need to break the vibration down and start eliminating possibilities . My reply does nothing to assit you other than asking what have you tried ?
Have you measured your drive line angles first and foremost ?
Have you looked at the tsb,s ?
did you lubricate your slip yoke ?
Did you have the driveshaft removed when you checked the universal joints ?
Have the spark plugs been changed ....every 30K ?
    Tires rotated every 5K ?
Have you tapped the brake pedal with your left foot when the truck vibrates ? ...Lubeguard and a transmission service will help
    Read here : http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/te...hift-kit-shift-recalibration-kit-2nd-gen.html
I applaud you for creating your own vibration post as you have a specific problem .
Specific problems like yours need to be broken down by the process of elimination .
I suggest reading more posts as all the answers are here at TW . The process of elimination is the key to solving your problem .
With this said , your issue at this point in the diagnostic sounds engine related .
Here is what I would try next unless other members have a better idea .
Throttle body cleaning . There are write up,s to show you how to do this .

Try clearing the transmission memory by removing the battery terminals .Replace the spark plugs . Once the plugs have been replaced and your adaptive learning is cleared , drive your truck with a heavier gas pedal . This will teach the transmission to shift a little more aggressive and have a later shift point . I am using your explanation to diagnose the vibration . Its up to you to eliminate the possibilities from this point

    nd4spdbh,

    Thank you,
Ya i did go through alot of the pages and info on that thread but i just really didnt see anything that matched mine exactly. Its just been super frustrating. Im still going through the thread to see if there is anything that may be in there that i might have missed.

    Gear Cruncher
    Thank you,

no i havent checked the angle yet, other than getting an angle finder, is this something that a shop can do?
    Yes lubed the slipyolk
No i had the driveshaft still installed when i checked Ujoints
I havent changed the spark plugs yet, i was told by toyota they were changed before i bought the truck, so i will check those
Tires have been rotated every 4-5K
havent tried hitting the brake, what should i feel or look for at this point in this?
I havent done a service on the tranny yet
Also i will try clearing transmission memory and a throttle body cleaning

    Berk,
    Thank you,
is there a way to check if the axle shaft is bent? other than pulling the whole thing out.

Ya ive rotated, i know i have one bad wheel but its been weighted by the shop and balanced correctly. all the tires are good but it was happening before this set of tires..

I will take the driveshaft off and check and see if there is any play in the joints off the truck.

I appreciate all of the input and gives me some more to try and play with.. its just really frustrating seeing as its my DD.

its just off balance a little, but the shop weighted it so its correct, or i at least assume so.. ya ill try and put the spare on and see what happens.

Ok guys, little update-- Havent had a chance to do the Ujoints, so i started with SparkPlugs.. changed them out, still vibrate.. also did an oil change (not that i was concerend about that but it was due) no big shavings in the pan and magnet.

Vibrate still happens when pressing the brake and keeping my gas pedal in the same position.

It doesnt happen at around same depression on the highway when going 60ish (and all the around the speed give or take 20mph)

Ok so a little update and now i am even more confused... I havent had the vibrations in awhile. Even did what i usually did to test if i had the problem. Nothing. In over 4 Weeks. Nothing in truck is loose and havent lost anything driving down the road. So now im not sure what it was LOL.
