Driveline Specialist, Pasadena/Glendale Area?

My CB is toast, decided to change the u-joints too. Ordered Spicer parts. After delving into it, here and elsewhere, this is a job past my abilities and patience.

Looking for a shop that will hopefully use my parts and do the job while I wait because this is my only vehicle. I know using customer's parts narrows the field so I will consider letting them supply the (Spicer) parts and I'll sell mine later.

Since I'm on a time crunch of one day install, I'll lastly consider a shop where I go in one day for measurements, they build a driveshaft, and then I go in and they swap them out on another day.

RPM Garage in Monrovia could probably recommend a place - they do a lot of yota vehicles

 

Inland Empire Driveline took good care of me. Inland Empire Driveline Service - Aluminum Driveshafts, Yoke, Universal Joint, Composite Driveshaft, Center Support Bearings (iedls.com) However they do not remove or install driveline and most shops will probably not want to use your parts but it is worth the ask. They did all three u-joints, center support bearing checked balance (made a very slight adjustment to one weight) and if I remember correctly for just under $300 they actually charged me less than they quoted. All Spicer parts.

 

I was thinking of them too but both locations are a 2 hour round trip from Pasadena outside of business hours, never mind during normal operating times.

 

Living in Coachella Valley one as to get used to everything being a min. of an hour away with no traffic.

 

Now that you mention it, that’s true for going anywhere in LA except there’s alway traffic and we’re probably covering 1/3 of the distance lol
