    Hi Guys,
Last November I took delivery of a brand new 2013 TACOMA DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 Short Bed Limited. Yeah I know it is all leather and chrome, but I love it and me and my wife use it as our daily vehicle. At first I wouldn't believe it that I was one of the unlucky ones and got the Driveline Vibration Between 15 - 25 MPH problem like so many others. Oh Damn! I couldn't believe Toyota would sell me a 37k 4X4 brand new shiny truck that vibrates when taking off from a stop light.
Well, I waited till the truck was broken in and was hoping it would just disappear but no it is still there. Okay, I called the dealer, talked about that problem, my dealer is aware of the T-SB-0249-12. They said bring it in and we will check it out. Well, reading all what you old pros put in TW about the Drive line vibration just boggles the mind. To me it seems like it is a "No Fix" Or Some just get lucky and it is gone! So before I drop it off at the dealer Friday morning I thought I might stop and ask you all whom have "Been there, Done That" with that pesky Drive Line Vibration at take off problem, any Advice/Suggestions I should be aware of and/or what should I ask to do?? Hope they fix it or at least reduce the vibrations somewhat. ...
    Thanks a lot

I have a new 2013, and this vibration

it only happens when I am matting it anyhow

fix is replace parts with same parts and/or install a dampening weight
in the steering wheel to numb the vibes

it is caused by slight axle wrap when you stomp on it, fix is dubious.
I am gonna live with it until at least 15,000 miles then evaluate if I
    care or not...

Took the Taco in yesterday morning, It was freaking cold outside like -15 so everything underneath the truck was stiff and frozen. ... Rode to the dealer like it had no springs/shocks what so ever. Dealer is a short drive away so nothing had long enough time to get warmed up. Dealer said heck with testing it too cold and just ordered all parts necessary for the T-SB-0249-12 fix. So now I just have to wait for the parts. After that I will install a pair of Bilsten C477 front shocks and a set of C476 Rears, we wil see how it goes from there.

    Hi Guys,
Had my Taco at the dealers all day yesterday. They did the T-SB-0249-12 fix and I also brought and had them install a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks no lift everything is at stock height. After 6 hours of work I took my Taco for a drive and to my surprise the vibration I had before was gone. I got to admit there is still a very little shutter upon take off, and that is if I really stomp on the gas like if my arse is on fire. ...else it is hardly noticeable anymore and I can live with that. I also have 6 50 lb bags of water softener salt in the back bed and have no noticeable sagging of the rear, everything sits level. Those Bilstein 5100s sure give a much noticeable BETTER ride, cornering is now a breeze. I guess I am lucky that that nasty vibration/shudder is now gone, but I will wait and see after my 5000+ mile trip to S.F. / Vancouver / Montana and back this summer. Just for your info and I maybe you all already know that the rear springs are notability quite thicker! Good luck to all others who will get theirs in for the Fix!

Will remove weight this weekend, and will see how it goes. ... Anyway this is all something we should all have never had happen to us Taco owners. I am 66 yrs old and had quite a few 4x4 trucks in my lifetime never had such driveline problems. Best 4x4 I ever had was my 74 IH Scout II. I was very sad to see them go under, however I never found a better than that one. I love my Taco now but see that it is not perfect. Sad as it is I had to pay 37K and found out that I still have to pay more to have it made up to my specs. I am as fussy as you all are but... Well that is USA for us these days, every thing seems to get made cheaper and cheaper, rather than better and better as I l always thought it would be. Sadly Things seem to be worse these days. ... It is up to you all to make it better, can't depend on anyone anymore, everyone wants to steal your money and in return give you shit these days, !

I had the vibes pretty bad on my 08 so I saw on here about putting leaf spring clamps on the packs just about a inch or two in front of the axel and torque them down good it made my take off shutter and 15-20 vibes drop drastically supposed to help with axel wrap. This is without the TSB spings so it may eliminate your guys problem and I only spent 14 bucks at autozone for the clamps so worth a try.:)

Well, looks like all is well! All the drive line vibes and shudder is gone from my Taco. Not sure which one fix did it but it is all gone. ... Rides smooth and I did a 120 mile round trip to Madison,WI. and back. Went up to 98 mph and the ride was smooth as can be and was free from any vibrations. I am totally satisfied. Thanks Safro Toyota in Milwaukee for their excellent service. :)
