    I believe it's the smell of bullshit;):boink:

It's an internet forum. There is no need for smoke and mirrors. As long as you arent calling out someone specifically by name or exposing anything in a way that would get them fired I don't see why you wouldn't be forthcoming with information.

Criminy, Gen2 had a shudder felt through the entire frame now Gen3 has a buzz. All these idiots had to do was duplicate a Gen1 Tundra but no, they couldn't dust off a 15 year old design and make a super smooth quiet truck with 10.5 inches ground clearance.

It's crazy, go open up a door on a Gen1 Tundra and see how well engineered the triple door seals are, they're a work of art. Look at the Gen3 Tacoma and compare, they shortchanged and charged premium price.

I believe in .280Rem also. So far, he is the only 3rd genner I've seen who has fixed it, and his fix makes sense since it actually addresses the pinion angle.

I just wish he could provide some details as to what degree shims and was there anything "different" about his new leaf pack....since us 3rd genners already have the 4 leaf (post tsb) pack.

It gives me some hope, man.

I'm still unclear on what was fixed. I am assuming the vibration while slowing down.

Gotta have hope, but reading this "To those that are dealing with it, and frustrated with the dealerships...they don't know the fix. It's a simple fix, and yes it involves drive shaft angles. they fixed mine with a new set of leafs and caster wedges."

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaahaha. Oh boy that's a good laugh. Heard that stale line for many a year. "New set of leafs and caster wedges"

See above and join your juvenile partner here.

You saying I'm lying, that the fix didn't happen, or that Toyota lied about how they fixed it? I guarantee you this, they fixed it. How they fixed it is on a work order. I guess I could allow for the possibility that they could have manufactured the entire work order and fixed it another way.

Toyota Corp fixed it or the dealer fixed it?
Didn't you post 3° shims were used? That's a lot; proper factory fix would be repositioning the perches...
Do you believe your fix is going to fix everyone's vibe?
    I'll ask again.
Had your u joints ever had sufficient grease in them? If not, how many miles were put on them before they were.

@.280Rem I'm just messing with ya (you are my favorite caliber for shooting bears and I couldn't resist the joke).

But post the details to help us poor unfortunate sods out! Some of us have been dealing with this crap for mooonths. Just telling us they fixed it and not giving any details makes it seem like you are just messing with all of us.

You keep getting annoyed that everyone is questioning you, but that's because you haven't given us any valuable information other than saying "it's fixed- you know drive angles, duh".

I guess it was Corporate based on who I talked to to get the ball rolling. It damn sure wasn't my dealership.

I didn't NOT post any specifics on the shims, and don't know. That detail isn't listed on the work order.

I have NOT A FRIGGIN' CLUE if it will fix anybody else's. I am not an engineer, I'm a lawyer. If I could do the math required to be an engineer, I'd be one or a doctor.

Ujoint grease? It came new off the lot to me, and I assume with sufficient grease. It's been serviced by the dealership every 5000 miles since. You tell me if it has "enough grease".

No, I got annoyed at being called a troll, and on the internet you can't tell "inflection". I apologize for getting annoyed. I have offered more details by PM or email. I have my reasons for that.

I'll change my name to rem280isthegreatest if he fixes my truck.

I'll shoot you a pm(I think I might have already). I understand not wanting to post it publicly.

And if I didn't answer this...though I posted it elsewhere...I had the "rumble strips" vibration while slowing down.

I was very nice...well mostly...I can assure you I was nothing but nice to the guy that got this done for me. That said, I wasn't playing, and I think he knew it.
