Has anyone that had the mount changed and the new springs installed, and still have the vibes, flip the carrier bearing to see what happens?

I have this problem on stock 4x4 (small "out of balance" vibration) at about 2,000 RPMs .. especially when accelerating up a small incline ..

Never had this vibration problem on my 4x2s ...

I gained no vibrations with the installation of the lift , I have had a vibe at approx 40mph since the truck was new

3 weeks! for the vibration tsb? why? I took mine after they had ordered the parts. they took mine completely apart and realized they ordered the wrong parts! so now its been two weeks since they ordered the correct parts and still they haven't come in. im driving my truck though, they put the old stuff back on. since they did that, any rear suspension travel makes my springs creak... all the time basically. hopefully they have the parts soon.

According to the dealer the TSB didnt fix the problem and they were waiting for a Toyota tech rep to come tell them what to do next. Well, they called me a couple hours ago and told me to come get my truck and to be aware that the vibes were still there and they are leaving the ticket open incase Toyota ever tells them how to fix it. I get here to the dealership 30 mins ago and as soon as I see my truck I make sure all my stuff is there like GPS, radar detecter ect. Then I pop the hood to make sure they changed the oil filter cause last time they didnt. Sure enough, they didnt change it or the oil either for that matter. I point it out to a service rep and they get all apologetic and everything telling me that its a learning curve for their techs to know what vehicles take synthetic oil and witch ones dont. I tell them its all fine, and it probably just got over looked because of the other work being done.

So, yeah...... im getting my truck back after 3 weeks with no problems solved and almost missed an oil change too!

I'm going into my second week not sure yet what they have done but they are replacing the rear springs which have to come from California warehouse. So it's a few days to the east coast, I would say I will be into the third week. Will post more info when available .

Headed in tomorrow morning for oil change. Hoping they can knock out first part of tsb. Otherwise will have to make appointment to get it going.

Just spoke to dealer. They want to install first step. Have me drive it for week. Then if problem still there bring it in. Get another rental and so on through third stage. Is this the way your dealers are doing it or no? ?

I think toyota really has no idea what to replace so they have the dealers going in steps hoping to solve the problem. To answer your question no my dealer is keeping the truck, which brings us to step replacing the springs. I hope they would look at the drive line/carrier bearing. My dealer has been great and they have to follow toyota's word this must be costing toyota boo koo bucks.

It did not change the Vibrations in mine at all!

They said they will send a report to Toyota and wait for futher instructions.

This TSB is a joke and doesn't fix shit from what I am reading.

The only good I can see coming from this is now that some were able to actually get the dealers to take notice of the problem because of the TSB and they have admitted there is a problem. Toyota will get a shitload more complaints from dealers saying TSB did nothing they may actually come up with a fix.

    you said it...
I looked into the Georgia Lemon Law...
Im bringing mine in Friday. I think this dealer will get it straight (they do in-house lifts and have full warranties if you have them do it)
even though I have no lift (totally stock) this should be right up their alley.

with that said, I am only giving them 3 attempts to work it out.
if they choose to have me do it in 3 parts...thats it.
    or
if they choose to keep my truck & give me a rental - they have 30 days of keeping my truck and thats it.
after either of those 2 routes dont work out I will be exercising my rights under the Georgia Law & will be requesting a replacement of my "lemon"
    I'll keep you guys updated...

I wouldnt worry too much about your VIN not being there...
how can they narrow down the issue to certain VIN's when they appearantly dont even know:
    a)what the issue is &
    b)how to fix it...
just saying-until they actually start fixing the vibes with this TSB, how can they know how far the issue is spread?
