you are a saint and a hero.. thank you very much!

    Tacomaworld is awesome!

Now to figure out which ones are the 4 leaf packs?

So it looks like they are using the same rear transmission mount as before... but then new bump stops and u bolts and tons of different rear spring configs..

Looks like they flatten the first u joint out by using the lower rear transmission mount... then get the proper angle for the rear joints... though they never measure the center joint angle... oy also theres no indication as to which way is the proper way to put the "caster blocks" but if you do some deductive reasoning it seems like they are actually trying to create a bigger angle at the pinion, by twisting the axle down, which would make sense as this would then put the two rear u joints in a good proper parallel form.

I am confused about part 1 though. Since T-SB-0132-08 changed the mount to the 12371-31250 mount back in '08, and that bulletin has a production break-in point, doesn't it mean that anything past '08 should have the new mount already? T-SB-0132-08.pdf

I think the "caster blocks" will already be incorporated into the spring perch area. There are no separate parts listed in the TSB for this. The different spring packs seem to be giving the different angles. I think this keeps them from having a single set of 3 and 4 pack springs and disassembling the leaf, installing wedges, and reassembling. The center joint angle will change along with the second driveshaft angle when the pinion angle is changed.

Either way i am glad this tsb came out as now they can install a 4 leaf pack on my trd off road and hopefully solve 2 of my issues... i will just note that they should raise the ass end of the truck from the hitch ~ 5/8ths of an inch to account for the extra thickness of the leaf as well the extra ride height of the extra leaf when they do the measurements.

Thanks for posting the PDF! I'm a first time owner of a vehicle still under warranty, so do I just make an appointment with my local Toyota Dealer, tell them the TSB number and they'll take it from there?

Good luck, let us know! I bet they're gonna need to order your parts for you so I suspect we won't have a first review til the end of the week at the earliest?

I really hope this fixes it!

Wonder how this would apply to lifted trucks. My 2010 has the 15-25mph vibe as described but I am running a rear Toytec AAL plus angled shims. Wonder if they would just tell me to take a hike our what. Think I may call Toyota of America and see if my truck is even covered. Not sure what to do. Not about to remove my lift for a TSB that may not even work.

It says right in the tsb aftermarket suspension the tsb does not apply.

Thats crap. Because an add-a-leaf changes the driveline that much. Lets see what others do. Plenty of lifted Tacos out there.

Guess that means that 90% of members on here won't get their Trucks fixed. Many of us are running modified suspensions. I am not about to remove my lift to go get a "fix" that may not even work. You stock guys have fun driving wimpy trucks;)

If the TSB works , it will point the direction towards a fix for the lifted trucks there tough guy

I'm fortunate that all my lift parts are sitting in the garage, I was planning on installing but I went in for my 15k mile service and complained about the steering vibration and the service advisor set me up for TSB. So they put the Steering Damper, Tranny Mount and 4pack Leafs on order. Hopefully it will be there on Friday.
I didn't even ask about the Driveline clunks I've been experiencing as I've been following the other threads and thought this was something Toyota was not going to fix and just blow me off telling me "it's normal".

My concern is that I have an ICON stage 2 kit, and I wonder if this will be compatible with the new 4 leaf pack, or will it bring the driveline vibs back???

Great news for all on the release of T-SB-0008-14.

On a different matter, has anyone posted a PDF copy of T-SB-0057-12, which apparently replaces T-SB-0119-10 for the Steering Intermediate Shaft Rattle Noise issue? Not to be confused with T-SB-0057-13 (Rear Diff Whine Noise). Sorry if it is on TW somewhere, but my searches couldn't locate the updated copy.

Just getting my paperwork in order to meet with the Dealer.

Thanks to everyone that contributes to the resolution of these issues.

I would like to know about the steering shaft clunk as well.

As far as the driveline vibe it makes sense... Make the front u joint almost 0 degrees by lowering the tail of the transmission / tcase.

Then by changing the rear pinion angle match the angle of the center joint to put the rear shaft in a good harmonic, it's simple driveline mechanics... But a soft center support bearing and lots of axle wrap make it hard to get rid of. They should of really gone with a much stiffer center support bearing to go along with this.

Wondering what "second order drivetrain vibration" means. I bought my 2010 in December as a Certified Toyota. I'm a bit out of the warranty for the springs (45K) but I still have the 12mo/12k certified coverage. Any idea how they'll react on this?
