I dropped my ride off a few hours ago and am now sporting a 2014 Sienna MINIVAN. LOL But I dont mind, the thing rides and drives great its just a bit too low to the ground for me and its only for a day or 2 I hope.

I tried to get a pic of the measuring tape next to the reciever hitch but due to rain I was getting pretty wet trying to get a pic and hold the tape straight too so I said F it and will just TELL yall that it was 16 inches BEFORE the new springs.

That was what I said when I dropped mine off and picked up my Corolla loaner.....last Tuesday. They just finally finished today, and I'm picking it up tonight.

Hope yours goes quicker than mine did.

Sheesh. My dealer ordered all the parts (including the 3 different leaf packs) and fixed it in 4 hours. They sent back the springs the didn't use.

I've been watching this thread since I bought my Taco in 2012. Seems like something is finally being done. So, my concern is that I have already done an AAL on my 2+1 pack that came on the TRD off-road. What do you guys think the dealer is going to say when I try to take it in for the shudder? The reason I did the AAL on my own was because of the sag under any load.

Take the aal out and go from there... The tsb explicitly states no after market suspension.

Hm. I could easily take that out but I just remembered that I have Bilstein 5100's...Might be screwed.

aftermarket shocks should not have an issues as shocks are "standard wear items" and do nothing to the angles and height of the rear suspension.

If you did the AAL under Toyota's TSB then there shouldn't be a problem. There are new leaf packs that correspond to whether or not the previous AAL TSB (i.e. "firm ride") was done. Take a look at the last couple of pages on the TSB and you will see the respective tables associated with whether or not one has the AAL TSB done and which springs to use accordingly.

Picked my truck up last night. Happy to report that the vibrations are gone. (Almost as happy to return that Corolla after more than a week with it)

    One thing that surprised me:

My truck had the 2+1 leaf pack when I brought it in, and I never requested that they replace it with the 3+1. I don't really haul anything heavy, and hadn't had any problems with the 2+1 leafs (aside from the vibrations). I figured I would just let them follow the TSB exactly, and try not to add any confusion by also requesting the 3+1 pack.

The new leafs they installed are a 3+1 pack.

I was under the impression that the two different sets of part numbers in the TSB were for a 2+1 pack and a 3+1 pack, each with all of the different angles that might be required. Is that not the case?

In the end, it doesn't matter to me - I just wanted the vibrations gone, and they are.

Just picked my truck up and all I can say is HELL YEAH! THE VIBES ARE GONE! The rear end does sit noticeably higher than before also. I did a measurement to the bottom of the receiver and it came out to about 17 & 3/4 inches. So to my non measuring ass I calculate about and inch and 3/4 rise. The ride is slightly stiffer too not enough to complain about really. I had to get a tank of gas and while pumping I bounced on the bumper a couple times and there was very little give to it. Overall I am EXTREMELY pleased with the results. Hope you guys come out as good as me too...... good luck!

Ugg miss information... THERE WAS NEVER A AAL TSB. The rear spring harsh ride tsb simply replaced the 2+1 packs with the 3+1 packs

Is your truck a trd off road. If so the tsb states a truck with the off road package now gets the 3+1 packs.

It is, and thanks for the clarification. I've read the TSB several times and never noticed that in there.

FWIW, I'm also at the exact same height as MudFlap now: 17 3/4" to the bottom of the receiver.

That is with nothing in the bed aside from a soft cover and a bed mat.

No idea what it was before the work was done.

Just picked mine up. The dealer only had the engine mount in stock, which they did replace. He wanted me to confirm that the vibration was still there once I picked it up and they would order the remaining parts. It's still there so I made a call to him and just waiting to hear back when to bring it back in.
