I tried searching yet never found my same issue.

I have 400 miles on my truck build date 12/16, its been dumping rain here but
since it was new I always noticed that only my driver door window and back door
window would have condensation Only those two windows. I didnt
pay it much mind, but today something was different.

The driver side only, both door panels were significantly wet. The textured
portion of the door panel, obviously not the hard plastic.

I checked passenger sides and the rest of the truck including the early issue
2016 version with a bad 3rd brake light seal, no wetness at all anywhere else.

When i roll the driver side windows up and down the glass is really wet. Like when
you have some dip$hit roll the windows down after a car wash, but more wet
than that, as if the window is getting dunked in a pool and back up.
I shook the door around and cant hear water inside. The window rubber that
helps seal it when its rolling up and down is present, not ripped or torn or worn?
The surrounding door weather strip is in tact and appears to be in place.

Has anyone read a thread on this or have an idea of why just those two
door panels are pretty much soaked? Any idea what to do? Im pretty
creative but cant seem to figure this one out.. Floorboard is dry, seatbelt is dry,
seats are dry , headliner, blah blah dry - Just those two panels.

The area circled is the soaked area on both doors.

Take it to the dealer. Sounds like the plastic sheeting inside the door is missing or torn.

Thank you, what is the sheeting you're referring to?

It's a plastic film right behind the door panel trim.
Sometimes the window wipers (rubber felt stuff at the top) or the channel below doesn't catch all the water and makes its way down the inside of the door panel and eventually out of the drain holes on the bottom. But some moisture remains inside the door and this plastic sheet/film helps keep that humid moisture filled out of the truck.

Ahhh yes the plastic that is usually lined with that
black silicone-ish goop that helps it stick right?

I feel that the window wiper thing idea is a culprit too
but the odds of both doors is weird and both doors same
side?? WTF might mean someone was getting lazy on the assembly line

    Thanks for the input

    Yes that.

the wiper and channel below would allow too much too much water in the door and could be the problem. Or possibly a missing/broken window track/guide.

If it's the moonroof the headliner/higher up should be wet.

If it's the drain holes you should hear water in the doors.

I would just pass it off to the dealer and get it fixed asap before you have more problems like mold or a terrible smelling truck.

No problem and I know what you mean about the techs. Last time they put the first scratch in my truck!

Oh and might want to grab a bottle/jug of damp rid from a home improvement store and throw it in the cab.

That plastic sheeting not being installed, which I doubt, would not be the cause of a large wet spot on the top of the door panel insert.

Can you help make a guess as to what would cause the wetness
    there?

If you have OEM roof racks, that could also be the culprit.

Wow interesting but how? They are OEM factory parts but I installed them, I'm lost thinking of how they can leak on one side - only thing I know is there is a slight sealing issue on my issue side the "driver side" up front above the driver window. The bracket that bolted down was all the way in but the rubber gasket seal isn't sealed down all the way. When it rains water does pour down from there but runs right off .

I'm very curious as to where you're going with this ?!!?

Weatherstripping, windows being slightly cracked, door not closed fully, door out of alignment, water dripping from headliner, roof rack improperly installed, sunroof seal failing, sunroof misaligned etc.

None of that should be happening on a brand new vehicle other than the OP accidently leaving his window cracked, hope it is something simple.

Every single part of the truck is bone dry OTHER than my driver side front and back door panel . No water on the glass inside , no drops anywhere - it's an oddddd place and I'm sure the other half of the door panels are wet too but since they're plastic I can't see or feel them to be

They tend to leak through the screws. I've had it happen and so have others. Water then spreads
trough the pillars were the seatbelts are.
I used liquid telfon on the screws, others have used other kinds of sealant.

I know right!! I wish I left the window open so I wouldn't have to rack my brain thinking where is the problem - however I know for certain it's been this way since I bought it , first few nights I noticed condensation and figured it was from the detail department cleaning it up for my delivery - but the wet panel i felt later , the condensation was Day 1

I never left the window open and on both doors for that fact !! My seat would be damp without questions too.

Seems like there quite a few guys having condensation inside of their trucks here lately, I hope the issue gets taken care of.
