This might be an odd topic but I've noticed lately that my driver side door is off and won't close completely. I've checked everything and can't figure out what could be causing it to not shut all the way. It doesn't leak or anything but outside of the truck you can clearly see that it's not shutting all the way. I'm not sure if anyone could help or not but if anybody has had that same problem I'd love to find a fix. Like I said it's not bad but it bugs me to notice it not shut completely. Thanks ahead for any help.

isn't the latch mechanism on the door adjustable? I'll have to check on mine

Instead of the latch mechanism, I loosened up the thing the mechanism latches onto that's on the inside of the door jamb where your truck's Vin# is located. It has a star pattern bolt head. You can move it side to side. Sometimes that comes loose or moves and you have to adjust it. Worked for me when my driver's side door wouldn't close all the way.

I tried this, maybe I didn't get it moved all the way over. I'll try this out again and see if that helps.

I had this same problem, and adjusting the strike plate fixed it.
