Hi all, looking for some advice/help if possible.

I have a 2010 Tacoma that recently has been having speaker issues with just the front driver door speaker. Sometimes it connects and there is sound and sometimes not, I was thinking it was a loose connection in the door? The problem is much more prevalent with the radio but when I use the aux cord it depends on how I position my phone, it's crazy. If I last my phone down in a certain way i will get sound through the speakers, if I move it then it shuts off. Which sounds like maybe it isn't a loose connection in the door.

I'm a bit frustrated and running out of ideas. Does anyone know what I could do or look at to verify the problem source or possibly fix it? It only happens to the driver side front door.

Sounds like a connection issue at the speaker or an internal issue inside of the speaker.

I had the same issue happen to me on my what was at the time JBL equipped truck. Turned out to be an internal issue with my speaker. I could replicate by playing music then slightly pushing down on the cone. The sound would come back. Needless to say I just replace the darn speaker to remedy the issue. Problem solved. As I said, start there then work your way up.

Do you think I should start with the door connections or maybe the center console?

Check the speakers and the connections.
