Driver Grab Handle Advice

I bought the driver's side grab handle because it bothered me that there was a handle on one side, but not the other. It's a matter of aesthetics. The sides should be balanced. I have to admit that I don't use it for its intended purpose.

I put the KTJO V2 on my '23, can't say enough good about the company or product. Order processed in 1 day, arrived in 2 more. Installation was super easy & looks/functions great. A++

 

Also bought the V2 from what’s her name. Fit and finish is spot on. Had to retrain my brain to stop using the steering wheel to get in. Ordered, processed, and shipped with no problems. I’ll be honest, I was expecting it to be somewhat of a shit show to get it but it shipped fast and was a pretty easy install.

 

I bought a V1 a couple of months ago and had no problems whatsoever.

I don't think she was ready for how business took off or how supply chain problems were going to affect the business. When it all turned into a shitshow, she did a poor job of handling the problems that arose. It appears that everything has settled down and the business has somewhat recovered.

 

Now that Im older, I really miss the grab handle my 2nd gen had. Ive accepted the steering wheel is the next best thing. I had planned to get the KJTO option, but I guess I got spooked. Plus If I knew 100% there were no airbag issues, Id probably give it a shot . Hoping Toyota brings the handle back on the 4th gen.

 

There are likely several reasons why the driver's handle is missing, but one of them is safety. The passenger handle was documented as contacting the crash dummies head in testing.

I did the V2 version from the same seller, no issue with it, or the one I got for our 4Runner.
