2 instances i've had my right foot felt like it wanted to go numb (An hour of driving or more). Now both times I was sitting on my wallet which could of been the issue, but i'm 6'4" and always had full-size trucks and never had this issue before.... I love my tacoma and NOT missing the gas mileage and maintenance from my sierra or ram... Just curious what other drivers deal with that might be around that height as well... Thanks!

About 25 years ago, my chiropractor told me never sit on your wallet. Explained it throws off your "alignment". Since then, switched to a small card holder with a money clip, carry it in my front pocket- works much better.
Also 6'4" and no problems with the 3rd gen seat- it is also a matter of what you are used to and what your expectations are.

I'm 6'3" and I weigh just over 300, and I just took my new Tacoma on a long road trip. It took several hours of driving before I experience TB, which was much better than when driving my old car. I'm very happy with how comfortable the Tacoma seats feel.

6'3" 260. Sometimes I feel like my foot is fatigued but not often. Made several 1+ hour travels without issue. My only complaint is a bar at the bottom of the seat back digs into my ass sometimes.

I am about 5'-10", seats feel pretty good to me so far but I would like if they had some more thigh support.

    I've posted about this elsewhere.

i had this problem. my right leg went numb every drive. i went toa local upholstery shop who had experience doing this, and i had them carve out more bucket from the seat foam (shave from underside) to increase the bucket and drop the seating position a bit. $200. perfect fix. 6+hour drive now and it's the most comfortable seat i own, and never any discomfort for me any longer.

6'5" and ~185. I recline the seat more than I used to in my old CTD. Plenty of room in the 4Runner, but I still recline. My alfalfa hair in the back occasionally brushes against the roof near the moonroof of the Tacoma. Haven't personally had numbness in my legs.

Yea, I've heard the same....MOST of the time before I get in I take it out and throw it in the center console...

Yea, I think that's the problem....That part of the cushion probably mimics a wallet back there... Appreciate the feedback!.... I'll ask my local upholstery shop...

5'9" and 190lbs seat fits me like a glove and I have no discomfort from the seat.

My left elbow however takes a beating from the rubber coating on the door panel on long trips. I usually fold up a microfiber towel and put it on the arm rest to combat this.

Edit for @Chile Verde and OP: If I sit in my wallet in any vehicle for a long period of time my right leg will indeed get numb. I often wear cargo pants and keep my wallet in the thigh pocket and this alleviates the issue for me. When wearing jeans I toss my wallet in the charging cubby.

6'2" and it did take a bit of getting used to. I still don't think of it as something for driving more than a couple hours in without taking a break to stretch. Helps to use cruise control, but I understand many people don't use the cruise. I see it all day every day with peoples erratic speed control. Interesting thought to have the seat shaved. Would like more info on this @St.Germain .
Thats because you are in the range considered "average hight". EVERYTHING fits you. Thats why the OP asked for feedback from people "around that hight" of 6'4".

    6'2" and fat. No issues.

Unless I'm wearing a ball cap and I hit a bump. Then that little thing on the top of the hat hurts when it hits my skull. I then pull over and cry like a bitch in heat.

Didn't read the entire post from OP. Edited my post accordingly as I have had the issue of numbness in the past just didn't type all I was thinking.

On the everything fits deal that's not always true. 21" neck, 46" chest and 32" waist makes finding things that fit a pain.

6'2" and 280#. No issues on long trips here. I carry a front pocket wallet. Switched to that several years ago. Happy with my truck so far. Have 8,600 on it so far. And I cut the buttons off all my hats to avoid just what bblake mentioned :)

6' 135 and can't drive it more than an 1 1/2 hours before needing a break. Sometimes even an hour. I have now heard shave the seat and also have the seat raised in the back or add cushion to the seat to eliminate the hole your assistance falls into.

6'3" #195...my height comes from my legs (36" inseam) so the seat is pushed almost all the way back. Headroom not an issue...

Wallet in back pocket pains me on occasion, but not enough to relocate it. All in all, much more comfortable than the sierra sle I replaced...and I do a 3 hr drive every Friday and 3 hrs back every Sunday.

What I'd like to know is what engineer decided to put in a telescopic steering column that only moves barely an inch lol

I like this idea, I'm 6'1" ~210 and wish my butt sat just a tad lower in the seat and gave the thighs a little more support and it seems it would be perfect.

it is for me... i'm same height as you and indeed would like the whole seat structure lower, and i may do that in the future, but it'll involve brackets and probably something custom. but for now the seat itself is perfect.
