    Hey everyone,

New member here as I surprisingly have found myself considering a Tacoma TRD Off-road.
I test drove one back in 2018 or 2019 and I did not fit at all (I’m am 6’6”, for reference). And then this weekend we had a 2023 Off-road as a rental in AZ and I fit great. So I’m curious if something changed with the seats when they did the 2020 refresh?
I don’t recall specifics of the one I test drove (moon roof, etc.) but kind of curious if all 3rd gen’s have the same seats and if I can expand my used truck search to earlier than 2020.

Second part of my question is about Options so the in the Tundra line. Why do some trucks have the smaller ‘L’ shaped LED DRL and some have the full wrap around? Are there different option packages within the Off-road line, for example? Or am I just seeing people that did swaps from TRD Pro or something? I don’t really care about the led DRL but more curious to know if there are certain option packages I should look out for when shopping for a used truck.

They got power seats in 2020 along with carplay radios.

I still cant reach the wheel properly but it was a big improvement all around.

Tacoma also got LED upgrade in the later years so some have upgraded lights.

Models without a moonroof have more headroom. That's why I intentionally got a 2018 pro over a 2019+ pro. I'm 6'3" and more torso FWIW

6’6” is a challenge. I’m 6’2”. I have the power driver seat and no moonroof. I’m able to adjust the seat to be comfortable and I have plenty of headroom.
