I've only got 30k miles on my 2017 taco and the driver seat is already squeaking like crazy (right side of drive seat closest to center console). I have the cloth interior so it's not the leather rubbing up against the center console - definitely sounds like the inner hardware of the seat... Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for a taco with just 30k miles?

Mine does it as well. Only does it when I move in it. Mostly the back rest were the lumbar support is & the bolster on the right side seat bottom cushion. Cheaply made seats. Might pull it apart & apply felt tape to the affected area's. BTW I also have cloth seats.

Mine is on the bolster on the right side bottom cushion as well. It started a few months ago but wasn't bad, now it basically overpowers the radio.

My '18 Pro (leather) squeaks, and it's definitely internal. Mostly when getting initially sitting on it. I'm going to mention it to the dealer on my next visit.

2020 started squeaking on tight right turns. Can’t replicate unless I’m in the seat and turning. Anyone come across this?

Hard top camper...many more to add+
Interesting..if just one or two has this problem...might seem unusual..
When the problem happens often or more common...this can be serious..
    Design flaws..or ?
    Hope solutions will be found!

In the old days ..if it squeaks add oil...
Many years ago a guy use to spray diesel oil under his whole undercarriage..(shoreline salt water. Fishing) not sure if it helps?
    Aloha

My 2020 with leather definitely has this... I am just tolerating it by turning up the volume.

No squeaks here. I do leak methane once in a while. The seat seems to handle.:fingerscrossed:

My driver seat has recently started doing this more and more. Pretty much anytime I get in and out, or even move the slightest while driving. 2019 with 40K on it

So my driver's seat is squeeking like crazy now. I can just push down on the seat with my hand and it does it, feel like I'm driving a hoopty on the bumpy new orleans streets. Anyone had success fixing this... or getting the dealer to fix/replace? I've had the truck for 8 months and it's got 20k miles.

Don’t want to be that guy, but maybe driver weight disclosure may help identify a possible contributor? And don’t worry, if this is the case my ‘21 will be squeaking soon.

Haha, if I couldn't easily make it squeek with just my hand and no one sitting in it I'd agree. I'm #240, maybe you need to be under 200 to drive a tacoma nowadays.

Yes, if I raise my seat all the way up it's much better, but then the rear view mirror is directly in my face and I can't see the passenger side of the hood without looking under the mirror. All the way down is most comfy for me, but also most squeeky.

There is a nylon bushing where back bolts to base of seat. That bushing wears and cracks.
