The door side of my driver seat has worn to a series of holes. Kind if like OP in this thread but worse.
I know the original part is 71072-AD031-B2 and sells for about $230 +/-$20. I found an aftermarket replacement made by US Auto Nation for about $180, and maybe he'll take a lower offer since the listing has the option. Or just leave the bad seat cover, hide it under some full seat covers. Bartact molle look pretty good.
Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you deal with it?

Clazzio seat covers would fix your problem.

If you want a cheaper cover option look into the coverking mesh seat covers. I'm running them and they have held up really well to everything including a 75lbs black lab. Only paid 200$ for the front and rears.

I looked at them, but wasn't a fan.
I'm going to call these guys (and probably Bartact) tomorrow to get some details, but this looks like a pretty good deal...

I like the molle on the back.

I'll wreck the leather, and they aren't cheap.

yeah I had the same thing. It was wearing where you slide in and out multiple times per day. That, and pure water would stain the seats. I broke down and got wet okoles. Im very happy with them20190809_183234.jpg 20190809_183212.jpg

I had same problem and cause is "Short Leg Syndrome" When you turn to get out you slide down on the seat edge. I looked at all the seat covers and and really wasn't impressed with anything. My seats are heated and really didn't want to hassle with new seat covers. On eBay I found full size sheepskin pelts. It covers the bottom seat pad completely and I tuck it back in once on a while, works great! Cost was very reasonable.

Just had this done on a newly-acquired '06. Check with your local auto upholstery shop. Mine had some of the OEM material (which is no longer available). They removed the cover, rebuilt the foam, replaced both of those fabric panels with new fabric, and washed/steam cleaned the entire set (back and bottom set) for about $200. I know it's kinda pricey but the seat looks brand spanking new.

    More than I can afford
It is funny, I had a bit of an irrational hatred for Wet Okoles (thought they were overpriced and kinda dumb).
Until I bought a truck that had a set in it. Not only are they great fitting seat covers but the extra padding in them makes the stock seats way more comfortable on long drives.
Looking at getting a set for my other truck. Fabric on the driver's side bolster is getting a bit thin/worn, figure I will cover them up before they wear out.

i've only had them for about a month or so, but i'm happy with them so far. Yes, they are definitely more comfortable than the stock seats, by a landslide. After install, you need to leave your windows cracked open for a few days. These covers smell like new car smell x10 for a week or so.

The ones that came with my truck have been there for a while.
If I leave the truck closed up for a couple of days I still get a brief whiff of that wetsuit smell. I don't mind it.
Fortunately, it isn't old damp wetsuit smell (any surfer that has left a damp wetsuit in their trunk for a couple of days knows what I am talking about)
