I have about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch lean on my truck towards the driver side. My dealer has contacted toyota about it and I am waiting on a response. Anyone know what the fix is for this? It's my first taco.

I actually titled the thread wrong, mine lands towards the driver side. I have leveled it with Bilsteins and when I took it in to dealer they had a new stock truck there with the same issue.

    That's normal.

Don't expect anything from Toyota or your dealer about it.

Need to install a 1/4" top plate spacer. Toytec sells them for around $30. Will fix your taco lean.

It's because the gas tank, battery, etc are all on the driver's side. The extra weight makes it lean more towards the left.

If you put aftermarket springs on then you will have the lean unless you use a spacer. Toyota OEM springs are different right to left. This is to compensate for having the battery, driver and fuel cell all on he same side. Install the spacer like swank stated and it will be fixed.

Or if your bilsteins are adjustable just crank up a notch.

It's not a toyota issue. If you put the stock springs back on you will see the lean go away. Your truck didn't lean when you got it. when you change to aftermarket suspension the springs are equal and don't compensate for what Toyota did with the stock springs.

it would be a Toyota issue if it was still on stock suspension, correct? he didn't indicate whether stock or not

That's not normal for a brand new vehicle unless you're like 500 lbs

Driver took the picture so driver weight makes no difference.

    Not sure if serious.

Sounds like he only leveled it with 5100 struts. Shouldn't be happening either way. The stock driverside coil is supposed to be a little longer than the passenger side to my understanding. Maybe the tech at the factory wasn't paying attention and reversed them :notsure:

That's what I'm thinking, springs got reversed in the swap to bilsteins.

That would cause his front end to dip low. Not the entire truck. His rear leafs aren't drastically effected by a minor shift in his front coils.

Whole truck is tilted half inch to driver side? Sounds familiar..
