    This is on brand new truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I don't think there is any difference in front springs, left or right, they both have same marking on them. Usually spring would have red marking for one side and green for other(just example) my truck had same marking on both springs.

    Edit: I also get about 1/2 difference in rear with full tank of gas. Full tank of gas weight approximately 180-200lb

    Just talked with the service manager and he told me that toyota has not yet determined a fix yet. He said that they are aware of the problem and are working on it. He also told me that they are going to do the service bulletin repair for the front end vibration caused by the needle bearing.

    Any more suggestions on a fix? Anyone else with this issue?

    It's in Toyota's hands now, not much we can do or know since this is one off issue on your truck. Nobody else has reported this issue in stock form on a brand new 2016 since it's release into the public 5 months ago. Let us know what they find.

    Will do, I guess I'm a bit surprised that no one else has reported this? With that brand new stock truck having the same issue I would have thought there were more out there.

    Mystock '16 sr5 dbl cab 4x4 has some wicked drivers lean. Started with just the front driver side was about 1/4 lower then passanger side. Now ive noticed the rear is very pronounced!. These are current measurements.

    FD = 20.75" FP = 21.25"

    RD = 21.75" RP = 22.5"

    The truck has 4000miles now...its drives me nuts to walk out and see it from the back bc of the lean.

    So no, Toyota still has not addressed thedrivers side lean.

    ToyTec offers the front 1/4 top plate as well as a rear 1/2 shim to go under the leafs...... I dont plan on lifting anytime soon or atleast untill i can afford to do it right with a Boss kit etc...

    I just got my DCLBOR on Tuesday. I have the lean also totally stock and brand new. Less than 100 miles. Front is about 1/4" but rear is about an inch!

    Yeah so dealer told me that Toyota said mine is within spec. BS that just means that they know there is a problem and don't want to fix it!

    So I too just noticed my driver side lean on my Double Cab 4x4 Sport w/ 1600 miles + full tank of gas. However, I do have a leveling kit, 2" daystar spacers up front and about 1" block in the back. I checked all the spacers/blocks installed, all is good. I am dropping it back off at the shop where I got it leveled to see if there is anything they can do. I'm not a car mechanic, but my biggest observation though was my driver side rear shock is 1.25" lower (measured the blue shock to the bottom of the black shock casing/sleeve). Good to know this might be a Toyota thing instead, but bad to know it is a Toyota thing they haven't addressed yet.

    U need to measure center hub up to fender. Not shock length.

    About only thing u can do is order
    ToyTec front 1/4 top plate as well as a rear 1/2 shim to go under the leafs.

    Mine should be here tomorrow. Ill post results after i install them.

    Welcome to Taco ownership... I know both of my first gens leaned and the 2016 already has a slight lean. It's what happens when you put the battery, the driver and the gas tank all on the same side. My trucks rarely had more than one occupant on any given day to offset and I usually fill up at 1/3 tank so it was bound to happen sooner or later.

    Can't remember if the 86 and 91 did but after a little research, filler to the gas tank was on the passenger side so probably not.

    Live with it or shim it.

    mine has a significant lean too..havnt measured it..but its bad enough when i leave work..people ask me whats wrong with my new truck. Then add my 230 lbs in the driver seat its noticible when driving and turning. All vehicles have a prominent lean (trucks mostly) but this is a little ridiculous.

    Can someone assist with some direction please.

    Just got my 2013 Tacoma 4 Door TRD sport (Factory) back from insurance repair because some moron decided to do an abrupt no signal lane change in front of me. The damage wasn't too bad. Drivers side front corner and strikes along driver side front and rear wheels. I was able to drive the truck to take in for repair through insurance.

    Both rims are new but before the accident I never notices any lean on the drivers side. In fact I was thinking of getting a leveling kit because every time I got out and looked back at the truck you could see the back sitting much higher than the front.

    I got the truck back last week and now there is a vibration in the rear end at 100+ mph. At 70mph it's really noticeable. I can see the passenger seat shaking.

    and

    The driver side rear is sitting over 2.25" inches lower than the passenger rear now.

    Is this a Tacoma lean or something else I should be pushing the insurance to look into?

    Gasoline weighs just over 6 pounds per gallon.
    21.1 gallon tank x 6.3 pounds(according to Department of Energy)= 132.93 pounds.

    With right hand drive in many countries I suppose the weight of the driver would cancel that out.

    Idea: relocate my single battery further back to the right side! Couldn’t hurt.
