I have to manually lock my driver side door despite all the other power locks working. Has anyone ever fixed this? Worth the effort, or take it somewhere?

I assume it's a motor or something that needs replaced, but I've never opened up the door trim to know if this is an easy repair or not.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I've been living with this for a couple of years now. It's been an intermittent problem. Had my local shop look at it but they couldn't pinpoint the problem. Best they could figure it was the motor and that the part was roughly $400 at the time.

Sounds like a door lock actuator has failed. Pretty sure it's part of the latch assembly

Thank you! I'll take a look at that.

Thanks for digging up the video. After watching that video and doing some internet sleuthing, it seems like it is the actuator that is causing my problem and probably yours as well. For $50 and some time, it seems doable, and definitely cheaper than what my local shop wanted.
