    Hello everyone!

I purchased a Tacoma back in July, and I've loved it ever since! I noticed that I have a slight problem though; Whenever I close my door, the console sort of 'pops out' and I wouldn't know how to effectively fix this. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.

I took the entire thing out, and this is what I see.

Is it missing anything? Does anyone know how I can resolve this? I would super-glue it in, but I am unsure if that's a good idea.

Mine pops out every time I wheel, In my case, one of the clips on the switch piece is broken. Yours looks like the spot that accepts the clip in the back is broken.

It looks like you are missing the metal clip that holds it in. There should be a clip on that switch panel that locks into that groove.

Ahh I see, that would explain it then. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to fix it, maybe next time I take it to the shop? It would be convenient if there was an easier way to do so.

You can probably get the clip from your local Toyota dealer or just go to an auto parts store. Unplug that piece and bring it into the store and look through the panel clips until you find one that works, prob a $1 fix.

It's just a plastic clip that gets accepted over the pin on the cluster, should be easy enough to get from toyota parts.

It's in the second picture under the plug between the two screws.

Know anyone else with the same year or (or close) Tacoma? Check theirs out to see what's missing...

Thanks for all the replies; I appreciate it tons! I'll try to get this fixed within the next week or so. I'll look at toyota parts and see if I can get it replaced.

Mine had a broken clip. Even though I'm under warranty, I just fixed it with some JB Weld.

I'd rather gargle with Drano than go to a dealership
