Driver Side Mirror Cap - anyone have this part??

Saw another user have find luck reaching out to other users on this site, especially pertaining to those who have done this mod [MESO Puddle Light build].

Posting in hopes that someone has one of these laying around….. Driver side mirror cap plastic piece, covers wiring. Fell off while I was driving apparently

Need driver side that fits 2017 sr5 4-cyl 2wd access cab. Dealer wants me to purchase entire mirror assembly, but all other parts of assembly are functional/don’t need to be replaced, just this lower cap.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like a huge crack in the mount so you need more than just the bottom cover. Try a wrecking yard as it will be a lot cheaper than buying new.

I just replaced my driver's side mirror assembly and mirror cap. And that little piece you need is the only thing that wasn't busted on mine.

I haven't thrown my broken mirror away yet. I was going to take it to the dumpster at work tomorrow.

Just pried it off and it looks brand new. Where do you want me to send it?

I replaced my passenger side a while back but had to replace the whole mirror only the paint match cap is swappable. I don't think it would just pop off though.

 

It's broken as an earlier poster mentioned. Time for a search for a replacement used mirror assy.

Someone or something either hit it or it smacked against something.
